the luncheon at the carolina inn on friday was perfect in every way.

we ate delicious food, drank tea, talked, & opened presents.

on sunday, i drove back from asheville {western nc} then hopped in the car on monday morning with abby & kelsey & drove just about as far east as you can go in the state! i honestly could not ask for anything more than a road trip with sisters. it was abby's last fling before the ring & we had a wonderful time. i really enjoyed getting to know the b-maids better & the beach is always exciting.

graduation day

this is all really hard to believe. i cannot believe that it is here at last. i am so done with high school!!!

it's ridiculous.

yesterday was perfect in every way. everyone seemed genuinely happy & excited about the future. i especially felt very loved. there were a countless number of people who were there that i did not expect to see.

i know full well, that jacob, matthew, andrew, dylan,& timothy are going to do wonderful things with their lives & i cannot wait to find out what they end up doing.

life's good.

p.s. i've been so ready to be done that i could not bring myself to writing my speech until a few minutes before. . . i ended up writing my speech in the bathroom right before the ceremony started! & you know what? . . . no matter how it went, i'm now officially done with high school forever.

tragedy

i don't know what happened. when i got back yesterday from the beach, i went to upload all the photos from the 3-day trip, & noticed that some photo files were missing. i mentioned it to dad & asked if he could search for me. after a while, we both came to the conclusion that my photos were gone for ever. that means, i no longer have any record of winter or spring last year, india, charleston, d.c., nyc/ boston, etc. thankfully i somehow still managed to keep files from the first of this year. . . it is so strange and upsetting. my photos, although not that good, are some of the things i value most. i love to find older pictures & find something new to love in them. what most upsets me is that i just recently went back and edited/cropped new india pictures, and b/c i did not publish them, there is no record of them at all.

i know that something good will eventually come out of all this, but it is still just really hard for me to come to terms with. . .

in other more positive news, i graduated from yoga teacher training {such a bittersweet experience} & the beach trip was magnifique!

so. . . i'm officially done with every ap, sat, act, psat, sat II test! & it feels wonderful!

i'm heading to asheville for my last weekend in just a few minutes. i honestly don't know what to say about all of this. it has been such an incredible journey & i don't know what i will do without seeing my dear friends and teachers every month. this video kinda sums up how i feel about this place/these people.

getting so close. . .

last night i had a hard time falling asleep just because there were so many things going through my head. thankfully everything with school is starting to slow down, but the rest of life is picking up. . . yesterday was abby's unc graduation {pictures above}. most of all though, there are so many exciting things to look forward to this month!
